Chester Theatre Club is staging a dramatic reading of a selection of Wilfred Owen’s letters to his mother.
Wednesday 15th October at 8 pm and Sunday 19th October 7 pm
Adrian Barlow and Simon Armitage are confirmed as keynote speakers at this free conference at Haileybury College. There will be a panel of papers by pupils and a roundtable discussion involving teachers. There’s also a poster competition for pupils to present their research into a WW1 Poetry topic
Chester Theatre Club is staging a dramatic reading of a selection of letters and diary entries written by German artist Käthe Kollwitz during 1914 – 1918 to her son Hans, who was killed in Flanders October 1914.
Sunday 19th October 3 pm and Wednesday 22nd October at 8 pm
Directed by Anthony Biggs, this rarely performed piece is is an enthralling, heart-wrenching story of love, memory and devastating loss set during and after the First World War, by one of the most acclaimed playwrights of the 1930s.
A trip to France to see "Not About Heroes" at the Forester's House. Includes a visit to Ypres and Ors.
