Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, Cumbria, is staging Stephen MacDonald's Not About Heroes from March 22 to April 5.
The play tells of how the young aspiring poet Wilfred Owen learned much and gained confidence in his own work after meeting Siegfried Sassoon at Craiglockhart Hospital. It draws heavily on the poetry and diaries of both.
