As part of a nationwide programme, Shrewsbury Children’s Bookfest present a series of events each November from 2014 until 2018 especially for children, young people and families.
The 2015 AGM of the Wilfred Owen Association will take place from 11.30 a.m. on Saturday 28th November 2015 in the Music Room at Headington Hill Hall, Oxford - part of Oxford Brookes University. The AGM will be followed by a joint event afternoon conference with the War Poets Association.
An hour of words and music, including "A Shropshire Lad" and poetry by Wilfred Owen and Rabindranath Tagore. The artists include current Royal Academy of Music students Baritone Darwin Leonard from Delhi and Pianist Isabel Schofield from London.
18th March marks 123 years since the birth of Wilfred Owen. To commemorate the Great War poet’s birthday, the Wirral museum dedicated to him is hosting a week-long arts festival focusing on the ‘Futility’ of war in his honour.
