Based on R.C. Sherriff's own experience of the Front and life in the trenches, this play celebrates humour and courage in the face of certain tragedy, and remains an important reminder of the horrors of war and the real, unromanticised heroes who fought it.
A new permanent Wilfred Owen exhibition opens in Birkenhead on March 18th.
Unfortunately this special performance of Dean Johnson's Bullets and Daffodils at Eaton Park has been postponed.
The Wilfred Owen Association and the Siegfried Sassoon Fellowship are to hold a joint event.
Guy Cuthbertson, who is writing a new biography of Owen, will give a talk. The poet Matthew Hollis, whose new book on Edward Thomas and Robert Frost is out in March, will join us as well.
